LZ 80

Electrical cylinders are known to be more than just a technical alternative to pneumatic and hydraulic actuators. Our LZ range shows what innovations are possible when it comes to power, design and functionality. Now that the smaller LZ 60 range has been tried and tested in a wide variety of different applications, we can offer the new larger LZ 80, which can deliver tensile and compressive forces of up to 12000 N.
In an unusual feature for a device of this class, the electrical cylinder unit comes complete with motor transmission unit, along with a motor brake, two-channel Hall sensor and two end-limit switches. All connection lines run directly out of the unit to make configuration and initial start-up easier, particularly from the point of view of SPC operation. Further innovations include a circulating-ball spindle, which is offered as an alternative to the ACME thread spindle drive.
This permits activation times of up to a 100%. Axial play on the drive spindle is also eliminated by means of a fixed bearing, which is of great also eliminated by means of a fixed bearing, which is of great importance when in positioning mode. As a further innovation, the P-configuration (Parallel) LZ 80 is housed in a robust transmission casing made of die-cast zinc. The fixed aluminum profiles hat are bolted to it house the internal drive components in a truly elegant manner, and are fitted with keyways for the attachment of individual accessories.
Customers can specify stroke lengths of up to 1000 mm (in steps of 7.5 mm), allowing optimum adaptation to each operating environment.
Customized drive transmission is also possible, with three versions available to ensure an ample margin of possibilities when it comes to choosing the right speed-to-power combination, with stroke speeds of 25mm/s in the fastest configuration.
The electrical cylinder, which is configured to protection rating IP 54 or IP 66, can also be supplied with an optional safety nut. Total failure of the drive nut with a combination, in particular, of vertical positioning of the cylinder and high loads could possibly result in fatal injury. The safety nut functions in this case as a special braking system, securing the mechanism reliably in the event of an incident. The system can also be supplied with an emergency positioning mechanism that actuates in the event of a power failure.
