Functionality was the key word of the PLZ guide
profile development. The extruded aluminum profile is characterized
by its integrated guide shafts, its special slots aiming the
mounting of clamping strips and connecting element for proximity
switch, as well as by a large opening permitting a large timing
belt.
Characteristics and dimensions are similar to the ones
of the spindle unit PLS-II, which offers a good compatibility to
multiple axis systems.
The PLZ-i-II is another version, by which the timing
belt runs inside of the guide profile. This concept is a particular
advantage in environments forbidding any exterior influence (as for
instance timing belt dust in clean-room conditions).
